- What social platforms appeal to you the most and why?
There seems to be agreement that Twitter is one of the preferred social platforms. Small surprise, considering the chat is on Twitter. Other preferences include Facebook, G+, Pinterest, and Instagram.
@theblogworkshop I have a lot of interaction--I prefer Twitter and FB though #TBW— MommyT3aches(@MommyT3aches) March 27, 2013 | A1 I like Facebook (a lot of interaction), Twitter, and G+ #SocialCafe #TBW— Deborah (@socialwebcafe) March 27, 2013 |
- What social platforms do you find challenging?
It seems to be the consensus that those social platforms that require more work are the most challenging, as well as those that seem to not give the ROI that one would expect. Belinda offered a tip on how she handles the interaction challenges on Facebook.
A2. For us FB has been challenging, Fan Pages don't really promote building relationships. It's harder to connect properly #SocialCafe #TBW— Da Vinci (@YourLifeAfter25) March 27, 2013 | @yourlifeafter25 I post first on my fan page then share to my personal, where most of my base is located. #socialcafe— Belinda Y. - How do you determine which social platforms are the most effective?
It is agreed that the best way to measure is to use analytics. There are different options for analytics, as Christy points out to the group.
@socialwebcafe A3. Number of interactions and analytics #SocialCafe #TBW— scherrie d (@thirtymommy) March 27, 2013 | @socialwebcafe I use my google analytics, pinterest analytics, and other tools like klout, kred, pinreach.#socialcafe— Christy(@upliftingfam) March 27, 2013 |
- What are some of your goals for getting more social?
Whatever it is that we are doing that works well, continue to do that and improve. An industry phrase for that is "Continuous Process Improvement."
A4 no matter how consistent, there is room for more consistency#TBW #SocialCafe— Deborah (@socialwebcafe) March 27, 2013 | A4. We always have a goal to try to show our fans/followers/etc as much appreciation as possible. #SocialCafe #TBW— Da Vinci (@YourLifeAfter25) March 27, 2013 |
