- What do you view as differences between personal profiles and fan pages?
The personal Profiles allow us to engage as individuals, while the Pages allow us to engage as the brand/company/service/product.
A1 the most obvious is how you interact with the pages. Personal pages allow you to interact differently than fan pages do #SocialCafe #TBW— ToddInKC (@ToddInKC) June 26, 2013 | A1 Profile represents person; Page represents Brand (or service, etc.) #SocialCafe #TBW— Deborah (@socialwebcafe) June 26, 2013 |
- In what ways do use your personal profile versus your fan page? Same? Different?
We are pretty confident on the different between personal profiles and brand pages. Speaking of which, let's share some of ours...
Let's check out our #SocialCafe and #TBW Community's FB Pages and Profiles

@socialwebcafe VERY different. Personal page is private. Blog fan page is very much public! #socialcafe #TBW— Krystal (@KrystalS) June 26, 2013 | A2 Somewhat the same, I engage the same way but the personal page is just that..personal #SocialCafe #TBW— ToddInKC (@ToddInKC) June 26, 2013 |
- What are your expectations or goals in using Facebook (i.e. relationship, promotion)?
Expectations for Facebook generally revolve around our personal interests and our goals and objectives for our businesses. A key thing is to know our audiences and deliver relevant content to them.
It's good to have the separation because fans are there FOR that content so give it to them rather than bombarding friends #SocialCafe #TBW— The Blog Workshop (@TheBlogWorkshop) June 26, 2013 | A3: Build a base of followers and deliver them interesting content - whether its mine or sharing others! #socialcafe #TBW— Momma O (@MommaOTheHouseo) June 26, 2013 |
- After today’s chat, what changes do you think you will implement on your FB approach?
Several things came to mine, along the lines of improving how we use Facebook for our brand and efficiency while doing it. Even some testing on what is the most effective use of Facebook, for marketing benefits.
Call to action is important @PinkMama68 @KrystalS, keep things dynamic, use videos/images and text. #SocialCafe #TBW— The Blog Workshop (@TheBlogWorkshop) June 26, 2013 | @MommaOTheHouseo I've been experimenting. Try just status updates/straight text or links with no preview. #socialcafe #TBW— Krystal (@KrystalS) June 26, 2013 |
