Probably the business psychology side of me asking... Have you found that freelancers on the internet are affected by fear?
So, rather than asking how much fear stops an internet freelancer from moving forward, it is a question of fear in general
The premise would be that if someone is locked up by fear in a real job, a similar thing would happen in internet freelancing

Same thing. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to get sleep all day and then I realize I'd be bored silly!

So tonight, I'm curious about backups. I know it is probably almost as dull as watching paint dry...
It is probably a habit that is good for the body, as long as it is balanced with exercise and good eating, eh?
But, equally as important!
Correct all that stuff that's supposedly good for you!
Isn't that what we hear all of our lives (whether we do it or not)?
Great segue into that backup topic.. Con, how often do you hear people say they have a great system in place?
Note: Please keep in mind that you shouldn't give people too much detail about your backups

I know we talk about it in articles, recommend it, make note that it is best practices, but do we do it? (U d/n have to answer)

Really? That is good to know. It helps to identify where it is originating.
There are some helpful Wordpress plugins out there, but one would want to read the fine print on cost.
If used correctly, FREE can work
For example, look for one that lets you store backups on ur computer; encrypts them; auto-schedules
And don't sacrifice features just because of pricing. For example, I found a plugin that did everything but encryption for free
Ouch! Do you ever think that your life has gotten away from you, Deb?
However, I already had a free plugin that did all of that PLUS encryption! Why switch, eh?
All the time! You could say I am addicted to websites/blogs.. lol (You don't want to know how many!)
Why even look at the other plugin in the first place?
BTW - you want encryption w/backups so that you can transfer them without as much worry of hacking (i.e. download via FTP)
If you could only monetarize them!
Excellent question! Was reading an article of best plugins (turns out, most of the ones I had were already better .. and free)
Working on that. But, nothing happens overnight and there is a cost for everything. But, Con is the expert ;)

Those articles on x best plugins and reviews of plugins are great BUT don't let it replace common sense!
You may want to make your own list of what is most important in a backup plugin
Personally, my list of important features for a backup plugin, after is 1) security (encryption); 2) timing; 3) storage

My favorite one prior to Wordpress 4.8 (jury still out on that) is Online Backup for WP.
It is free and allows for a scheduled, encrypted, local (meaning on your web server) backup.
Then, you have to remember to download it (and delete it) to free up space on your server (so you don't fill up)
Caution.. when I went to find the link, the Wordpress directory did not list it. Researching that..
And, I didn't promise 100% easy, but it is free and that is good :) (Super easy costs $$$)
