@socialwebcafe A1 I parcipate in roundups fairly often because once you get published in one, others will contact you to do theirs, too. Many use @VCbuzz to ask questions for them. #SocialCafe
I asked Gail @Growmap to specifically help us with understanding GuestCrew. But, of course any tips are welcome. Our topic is roundups and GuestCrew is one tool to do it.. I sometimes get confused with the tool, so I am curious if anyone has tips for that tool :) #SocialCafe

A1 Roundups have become quite popular, and especially thanks to tools like @MyBlogU (the one I tend to use :) ) and @GuestCrew (also an awesome tool!) #SocialCafe

@socialwebcafe A2 There is a lot of debate particularly around how many people to have participate. Some prefer low numbers 4-6 while others go for 100+. There are pros and cons to each #SocialCafe

@SueAnnBubacz @socialwebcafe I haven't had any problems coming up with unique answers to roundup questions. Often, they ask pretty unique questions and that makes it easier. #SocialCafe
@Kathrynclang What tool or method of communication did you use? Then again, you are seriously the queen (bequeathed with all respect!) of relationship building. You are gifted, Kathryn! I'm wondering if you simply contact them directly. #SocialCafe

@SueAnnBubacz That is a good point, @SueAnnBubacz I always ask myself what everyone else is probably answering and what response speaks to my experience, but adds something helpful #SocialCafe
@socialwebcafe I wrote a blog post about it, about sharing each other, and asked if people would be interested in my sharing their posts. I'll use a plugin for them to submit their links when I do the theme #socialcafe
@socialwebcafe A3 I know a few people who will only participate if the site publishing the roundup is large already. (Many people use roundups to launch new sites with low domain authorities.) #SocialCafe
@socialwebcafe A3 If you have a burning question you would really like authoritative answers to from influencers, doing a roundup to ask for their opinions can encourage them to take the time to answer. #SocialCafe

@GrowMap I like how you described that as a "burning question" @Growmap... Yes, I can see where influencers would stop for that.. especially one that is tied to a recent event, etc. #SocialCafe

@socialwebcafe @luv4statistics Yes. A survey could find out what the majority prefer. In the end, though, many will have to agree to disagree on how many respondents make the best roundups. #SocialCafe
@socialwebcafe A4 Yes, it is just a matter of taking the time to do it. You can post your question on @GuestCrew and/or @VCBuzz as an easy way to find influencers even if you don't know anyone to ask #SocialCafe
We have been the 30 min twitter chat for a while now, even back when we did the twitter chat and then the video (which many other Twitter Chats have since adopted...) #SocialCafe
I need to use @guestcrew more often. I've been using @Myblogu and there are some other benefits, like asking people for ideas (brainstorming) with that tool. #SocialCafe
But, it is time to return to the 60 min chat, with a twist. We will have Round 1, including greetings and the introductory questions... then Round 2, diving deeper into the topic and possibly adding a video component. #SocialCafe
So, the idea with Round 1 and Round 2 is to allow people different entry and exit points. If you can only make one or the other, that is fine! No judgement... never was :) So, we are back to 60 min next week, 4/17 on #SocialCafe
@GrowMap Gail - if you have an interest in joining us next week, for 60 min, we would love to pick your brain some more. I feel like we were just getting started. So, consider this an invitation ;) #SocialCafe

@SueAnnBubacz @socialwebcafe While there may be less benefit to you (at least in the short term), I like to help people get new sites off the ground and you never know how large they may get later #SocialCafe

@GrowMap @Kathrynclang I think it is something that is seen predominantly in the mom blogger world, yes... I think it is where several bloggers write on a topic and agree to link to each other. I think roundups are a bit easier... #SocialCafe

And it let me know @SpamPhobia was planning to shut down in time to ask them to reconsider. @socialwebcafe @GrowMap There used to be a carnival website where you could connect with other blogs under a theme (LOTS Of carnivals there). #SocialCafe. I've been blogging a LONG time!
@GrowMap @socialwebcafe Except with the carnival, the host actually did a post that would include a summary of the other posts and a link to them (along with a tag of the author). #SocialCafe
@Kathrynclang @GrowMap Yes, I think I used to check a site for those. Yes, I've been blogging for a looooooong time, as well. Before Wordpress, our provider (Tucows) suggested we sell blogging software and it was like, "What is blogging?" and that was back in 2002/2003.. #SocialCafe
