I use Camtasia for the lighter work (loads quickly) and I prefer Final Cut Pro for the heavy lifting I agree that Camtasia isn't for the faint of heart. We do video for a living, so that we are weird ;) Thats not a bad thing lol What are some good lengths to have how to videos? LOL says the video guys ;) Good question! ? I do 1280x720 right off the bat, and then for web, crop to size. But, screen res varies A2: Adding music, makes all the difference. I think in resources like Garage band that u can find royalty free loops to use I would say that depends on what you're teaching and who the intended audience is. Go ahead and go long if doing then chop into smaller for re-purposing I try to keep it just long enough to show what to do and thats it. Hrm now the thinking cap again or even things like putting something together people want the in-depth view.
