I still don't believe businesses have fully taken advantage of the cost savings of social media... How do you prevent information overload when using Social Media? My mantra is to be a producer and not a consumer to keep clear I hear you. I too luv to pin all kinds of stuff on Pintrest. I also found something great called scoop.it? Have you all used it yet? To me it's great for relationship building Q2 How do you manage time on social media sites? (i.e. automation?) I just watched the video on the scoop.it site! very cool! It looks like a really great site ! A2 I have some automation (FB page to tweet), but try to engage, personally, as much as possible. I manage time on Social Media by automating 65% of my posts on Hootsuite, 35% in am and pm. I am a self proclaimed Social Media junkie however, simply because it's so easy to find prospects needing my services. Do you feed other sites' RSS feeds into Hootsuite? Yes i agree it's great for keeping in contact with everyone, no matter where they live! Wonderful! I mainly use it for my personal posts, but am open to adding services for others.. A good word of advice for managing time is to have a marketing calender and scedule your posts. A2: I manage my time, on fb, by putting friends in groups. So I dnt wait time scrolling! FB knows no borders! Have any of you tried the G+ communities? I really like how compartmentalized the group is, for easy navigation. ROI is a great term that could mean money or prospects. Facebook still takes the cake for me. I am starting to use G+ for more interaction. It has a better mobile platform too. Which is another great topic! Love that it saves time bringing in the photos for my address bk! RT re: LinkedIn Contacts I grossed over $40k last year from web design clients I found on Facebook. They were just right there. I have a G+ account, but i have explored very little of the community/groups yet... The truth is the Social Media is WONDERFUL! And so fun! and so profitable. G+Hangouts! Luv watching them! I think the balance is not having so much fun that we forget to work. But, that is the beauty... work is fun! It seems the instagram might have an easier opp to network. Also, when out, it is easy to send photo to all... On "working" using Social Media yes it's easy to play and get caught up following pictures and old friend. I used to think I could only send photos from phone in instagram, but I have been enjoying... I just download the APp from the play store. ... grabbing photos I post on FB, & then saving to phone & posting to instagram. Then, I can access the hi-qual. Yes think it can be really difficult, having tooo much fun w/ social media. especially w/ Pintrest. Why toooo much fun! How do you monetize your social strategy with ease? I use an intuitive approach to relationships. To me Pinterest is better for the Right Brainer like myself. Using links and cross references and repins Chk it out! I use Pinterest to promote myself as a person so that I deepen a rapport. Plus it's relaxing. Good point on right brain versus left brain... Yes, that makes sense that Pinterest works well right brain RT : How do you monetize your social strategy with ease? I use an intuitive approach to relationships. The numbers are astonishing with over 1 billion global contacts to connect with. Biz or Pleasure it's a plus. I have to "close" FB and Pinterest, to ensure time management. My 9 month old GD is so cute. I write in a journal for 5 successes from day before and 6 tasks to do that day... keeps me on track.
