Q1 How do you insert social share buttons on your site/blog? (i.e. your designer does it, plugin, manual) First thing I had farmer client do was open social media accounts. My one and only blog is still at Blogger, but I'm planning a move to WordPress. Starting farmer out there, as well. Yeah, In sharing, I've wanted to "fix" people's sites. Like I should talk, I pulled down my buttons to tweak them I used to use Blogger and I like the platform, but I wanted more granular control over the site and WP offers that. I become especially disappointed when i find something i really like and there is not a "share" button for Pinterest. =( Since the convo about blogging to beginning & adv readers, I've been using that information, so thanks for gr8 topics, Deb! "granular control"? I like that term! lol Hard for me to share some of my writings on Pinterest, b/c no pics or pics are wrong size. But my blog has FB, Tw, Pinterest buttons on upper right corner below header & others below each post. I need to do more original recipes on my blog so they'll pin when I promo. I don't rely on Tumblr as a share button on my blog yet, but post my writing there and get a significant amount of traffic. Lately, I'm beginning to get more followers on Tumblr, so if I can find a share button, I will certainly add it. In reality i don't have a Tumbler Account--but i sometimes read stuff others post..... My problem right now is my camera's broken, so I can't use Instagram yet. Do you think it is possible to have too many buttons? (i.e. design/layout) RT : Yes! The more Buttons the Better! Actually a random question :) set a new record, asked for $100k, got $1.1M on . Yes! I could be there for weeks and weeks, just reading everything on Tumbler. Soo much stuff! The crowdfunding universe is growing big time Each crowdfunding site differentiates itself from the rest with a single notable policy. I forget if it's Indeigogo or Rockethub that gives you a bonus out of their pocket when you make your goal. Do u think it would be a better model to keep what u get? I suppose is trying 2 encourage more $ tht way I like that idea! Crowdfunding highlights: Plan a project. Make an appeal video. Promote! Deliver donor incentives. Create finished product. Yeah, the pinterest buttons are not plug-n-play I use a Wordpress plugin and then tweak it to do what I want. And of all things, beyond Kickstarter, I learned about the rest while writing for a content mill! Would love to see a crowdfunding project you are doing ;) Actually, the farmer is my crowdfunding focus at the moment. He borrowed a digital camera w video & still functions.
